The grading is based on 2 tasks per term:

• Fall:
• Civilization/Empire task
• Mid term exam (everything we have done during the fall term)

• Spring:
• Essay (3 months of research before it, you are supposed to be an expert on your topic, find facts and other stuff on libraries, internet, meetings with professors on university  = BIG)
• Final exam (everything we have done during the spring term)

Other things that will decide your grade is:

•  blogger.com (this is where you are supposed to put up all of your notes from every class, Martin will check it once or twice during the year and it is really important to be able to take good notes for this website and they are important for your grade and this course.

• xtimeline.com (create a timeline online)

• IN CLASS ACTIVITES (pay attention and take part of the discussions).
