Feudalism
is the economic and political system of the middle ages based upon agriculture.
The
peasants and serfs are in the bottom of the system. They however produce food
and such for the knights who are one
step higher in the system. They then provide safety, security and protection
for the peasants and the serfs.
The
knights are loyal to the Barons and Lords and then they provide the knights
with land.
Kings are
the highest level in the system and they provide land to the Barons and Lords
of nobility if they provide the king
with loyalty.
The
system is all about giving land for loyalty.
Church:
- Pope
- Bishops
- Monasteries
Pope
--> the level of king or nobility.
Bishops
--> to the level of nobility or knights.
